Experimental Study on the Purification Mechanism of Mine Water by Coal Gangue

Coal mining has caused groundwater pollution and loss. Using a mined area as water storage space for storing purifying mine is low-cost environmentally friendly method. In this study, static dynamic adsorption experiments on the ions in were carried out using roof rocks from Lingxin coal mine. The sample analysis results show that main chemical composition of mainly SiO2 Al2O3. chemistry type SO4-HCO3-Cl-Na type, with an average mineralization about 4000 mg/L. experimental gangue can stabilize pH value different values between 7.5 8.5. acidic alkaline environment, degree void increases capacity gangue, which rate 3% 5%. calcium ion reduction reaches 75% leaching 70% conditions. Medium-grained coarse sandstone stronger than muddy siltstone. study support further research purification purposes mines, simultaneously reducing harmful accumulation promoting recycling highly mineralized water.
